Waspaloy is a nickel-based superalloy that consists of about 58% nickel, 19% chromium, 13% cobalt, 4.3% molybdenum, 3% titanium, and 1.4% aluminum, along with trace elements that boost its performance. It boasts excellent oxidation resistance and creep strength at temperatures reaching up to 870°C (1600°F). The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of around 1,000 MPa, a yield strength of about 700 MPa, and impressive fatigue resistance. Waspaloy bars undergo precipitation hardening to enhance their strength and maintain stability during prolonged thermal exposure, making them perfect for environments where dimensional stability and mechanical integrity are crucial.
