Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) tubing is made up of about 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, and 90% titanium. It boasts impressive strength (with a tensile strength of around 950 MPa), a low density of 4.43 g/cm³, and outstanding corrosion resistance. Grade 5 also provides good fatigue strength, moderate weldability, and excellent performance at high temperatures, reaching up to 400°C. It’s roughly twice as strong as commercially pure titanium (Grade 2) while keeping similar corrosion resistance. These characteristics make Grade 5 tubing perfect for demanding applications that involve pressure, extreme temperatures, and heavy mechanical loads.
