The typical composition of Titanium Grade 2, a commercially available pure titanium alloy, is 99.2% titanium with trace amounts of iron (0.30%), oxygen (0.25%), carbon (0.08%), and nitrogen (0.03%). It provides 20% elongation, a yield strength of about 275 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 344 MPa. It offers outstanding corrosion resistance in oxidising and mildly reducing environments due to its density of 4.51 g/cm³. Additionally, it is highly suitable for a variety of fabrication and forming applications due to its excellent weldability, moderate strength, and good ductility.
