With a density of around 16.6 g/cm³ and a melting point of 3017°C, this material exhibits a tensile strength ranging from 200 to 750 MPa, depending on how it’s processed. Its high ductility allows for the creation of thin, uniform shims. Tantalum also excels in thermal conductivity and resists corrosion in harsh acids like nitric and hydrochloric.
