This refractory metal boasts a high melting point of 3017°C, remarkable ductility, and a density of 16.6 g/cm³. Depending on the temper and processing, Tantalum exhibits tensile strength ranging from 200 to 750 MPa. Its exceptional corrosion resistance, especially against acids such as nitric, hydrochloric, and sulfuric acid—even at high temperatures—makes it a standout choice.
