This metal boasts a melting point of 3017°C, a density of 16.6 g/cm³, and tensile strength that ranges from 200 to 750 MPa, depending on its condition and processing. Tantalum is non-magnetic, ductile, and maintains its mechanical strength even at high temperatures. It effectively resists corrosion from most acids, including nitric, hydrochloric, and sulfuric, making it an excellent choice for harsh chemical environments.
