Commercially pure grade tantalum Tantalum R05400 has excellent corrosion resistance in highly corrosive environments like hydrochloric, sulfuric, and nitric acids. It has a melting point of ~2996°C and is suitable for high-temperature applications. The material has superior ductility, fabricability, and thermal conductivity. Its density is 16.65 g/cm³ with tensile strength of 200–750 MPa (temper-dependent), and it has structural integrity in harsh environments. The material also proves biocompatible and therefore also fit for medical and implant-grade applications.
