Approximately 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, and additions of tungsten, copper, and nitrogen are present in Super Duplex Steel S32760, a highly alloyed duplex stainless steel. This alloy exhibits exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. It has a yield strength of 550 MPa, a high tensile strength of about 750 MPa, and an elongation of about 25%. It has a balanced austenitic-ferritic microstructure that allows it to withstand corrosion and retain exceptional mechanical qualities even in harsh conditions like seawater, acidic media, and atmospheres high in chlorides.
