Super Duplex Steel Valves are generally constructed from alloys like UNS S32750 or S32760, which contain about 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, and 0.25% nitrogen. These dual-phase (austenitic-ferritic) steels deliver remarkable mechanical strength (with tensile strength around 800 MPa and yield strength about 550 MPa) and outstanding corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride-rich conditions. The PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) surpasses 40, providing excellent protection against pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking. Additionally, these valves exhibit great fatigue and erosion resistance, making them dependable for high-pressure, high-temperature, and chemically aggressive applications.
