Super Duplex Steel S32760 is a high-alloy austenitic-ferritic stainless steel with around 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, 0.3% nitrogen, and balance iron. This alloying offers superior resistance to corrosion due to chlorides, pitting, and crevice attack. The mechanical characteristics involve a tensile strength of as high as 800 MPa, yield strength of 550 MPa, and elongation of 25%, with very high toughness even under sub-zero temperatures. Its two-phase microstructure offers high mechanical strength, fatigue resistance, and weldability, which make it perfectly suitable for harsh and severe industrial environments.
