Nitrogen, manganese, and the rest of the alloying elements of approximately 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, and 3–5% molybdenum are used in the making of the Super Duplex Manifold Valves. This alloy is highly resistant to corrosion, especially in chloride-contaminated and acidic environments. The valves have high tensile strength (up to 800 MPa) and yield strength (approximately 550 MPa), as well as enhanced impact toughness and fatigue life. Their duplex microstructure is conducive to improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, making them last longer under harsh conditions. Moreover, they retain structural integrity under conditions of high pressure and temperature, thus well suited for harsh industrial uses.
