Nitronic Sheets and Plates are a type of nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel, primarily made up of iron, 20–23% chromium, 11–13% nickel, 4–6% manganese, and nitrogen, with small amounts of molybdenum and silicon. These alloys are known for their impressive mechanical strength, boasting tensile strength between 690–900 MPa and a solid yield strength of 380–600 MPa, depending on the specific grade. Nitronic materials retain high toughness, even in low temperatures, and show outstanding resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and wear, making them perfect for demanding applications that require long-lasting durability and reliability.
