About 58% nickel, 20% chromium, and 18% cobalt are important alloying elements in Nimonic 90, a nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy that also contains titanium and aluminium for precipitation hardening. It has outstanding resistance to oxidation, creep, and high temperatures. The alloy has an approximate yield strength of 690 MPa, a tensile strength of 965 MPa, and an elongation of 20%. It is perfect for use at temperatures up to 920°C because of its exceptional mechanical stability under thermal stress. Under cyclic loading conditions, Nimonic 90 is renowned for its remarkable fatigue resistance and structural integrity.
