Mu Metal Round Bars are primarily made up of nickel (around 77–80%), iron (approximately 15%), along with trace amounts of copper and molybdenum, which provide them with outstanding magnetic permeability and low coercivity. This makes them perfect for magnetic shielding tasks. Mu Metal boasts a tensile strength ranging from 50,000 to 80,000 psi, along with high ductility and excellent cold workability. To achieve the best magnetic properties, heat treatment (specifically annealing in a hydrogen atmosphere) is crucial.
