Monel Plates and Sheets consist mainly of Copper (≈28–34%) and Nickel (≈63%), together with trace amounts of Iron, Manganese, Carbon, and Silicon. The nickel-copper alloy has excellent corrosion resistance, especially in corrosive seawater and acid environments. Monel is mechanically very strong, ductile, and resistant to stress corrosion cracking, which makes it appropriate for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. The alloy is also highly weldable, formable, and oxidation-resistant, providing long-term operation in severe industrial applications.
