Monel K500 tubing consists of a nickel-copper alloy containing about 63% nickel, 29% copper, and minute quantities of aluminum and titanium. This alloy permits age-hardening, making its mechanical strength much greater, with a tensile strength of up to 1,380 MPa (200 ksi). It maintains very good corrosion resistance, especially in seawater, acidic, and alkaline media. Monel K500 also exhibits high fatigue resistance, life, and machinability. Its non-magnetic quality and resistance to high-pressure and high temperatures make it an excellent choice for essential applications in harsh operating conditions.
