Monel 400 Wire consists of around 63% nickel and 31–34% copper, along with minor traces of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This alloy has a high tensile strength of 70–100 ksi, with good ductility and toughness. It has excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and alkaline atmospheres. The wire has thermal conductivity and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for applications in low and high temperatures and high pressure.
