Haynes 230 Bar is a nickel-chromium-tungsten-molybdenum alloy that has been solid-solution-strengthened. Its typical makeup features Nickel (~57%), Chromium (22%), Tungsten (14%), Molybdenum (2%), along with trace elements like cobalt and iron. This alloy boasts remarkable resistance to high-temperature oxidation, enduring temperatures up to 1149°C (2100°F), and offers excellent long-term thermal stability. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 855 MPa, yield strength around 485 MPa, and an elongation of up to 45%. Haynes 230 retains its mechanical integrity even under thermal cycling and heavy mechanical loads, making it a great choice for extended use in high-stress environments.
