Beryllium Copper round bars, primarily composed of alloy C17200, feature 1.8–2.0% beryllium, with the remainder being copper and small amounts of elements like cobalt or nickel. Following appropriate heat treatment, which includes solution annealing and age hardening, these bars showcase remarkable tensile strength—reaching up to 200 ksi (1,400 MPa)—along with commendable hardness, fatigue strength, and excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. They are non-magnetic and boast high corrosion resistance, along with superior machinability.
